The Kentucky Legislature Raises Sheriff Service Fee

Effective June 27, 2019, the fee for all Process servers, Sheriffs, and Constables Service across the Commonwealth will be $60 per service. This was passed under KRS 64.090.
Total cost for services will thus be a total of $70 after added the Fiscal Courts’ required fee of $10

2018 Tax Collection by the Sheriff’s Office has ended.

As of April 15, 2019, all unpaid taxes have been turned over to the Campbell County Clerk’s Office for collection.  You can contact the County Clerk’s Office at (859) 292-3845.  The Clerk’s Office is located at 1098 Monmouth Street, 2nd Floor Room 204 Land Records, Newport, KY 41071.  The Clerk’s website is: http://campbellcountyclerkky.com/

The Sheriff’s Office is no longer able to handle any property tax issues for 2018.

Monthly Reports Are Updated Through March 2019

IMPORTANT: If you mail your taxes in, we absolutely must receive them on the 15th of April or sooner. At the end of business that day, all taxes are handed over to the County Clerk for collections. The Sheriffs’ Office will no longer be able to take the payment.

Due to the New Year Holiday, the Sheriff’s Office will not be open December 31st. To avoid paying the January amount for your bill, it must be post marked by the Post office no later than December 31st. This is not the metered date (when postage was added), but when the Post Office cancels the postage and marks it for delivery.

You can also pay your taxes at any Campbell County United Bank location up until 3 PM on Monday December 31st.

Chief Deputy Named Deputy of the Year by Kentucky Sheriff’s Association

Chief Deputy Ken Fecher was awarded Deputy of the Year by the Kentucky Sheriff’s Association at the Association’s December Sheriff’s Training Conference.  

Campbell County Sheriff’s Office Joins 2018 FOP Lodge 10’s Cops and Kids

73 Children Enjoyed A Morning of Christmas Shopping With a Cop. 
The Campbell County FOP Lodge 10 has been participating in this event for 21 years.  10 children participated the first year.  It has grown every year since.  Those of our deputies that participated had a great time.  If you go to FOP Lodge 10’s website you can see all 175 posted images of everyone that participated.  

Agencies participating were Campbell County Sheriff’s Office, Alexandria Police, Cold Spring Police, Dayton Police, Fort Thomas Police, Campbell County Police, Wilder Police, and Campbell County Detention Center.

Friday, November 30th is the last day of the discount period.  Mail must be post marked (i.e. received and processed) by the post office on or before November 30th to still receive the discount on December 1st or later.  Simply applying postage with a metered date is not sufficient.  The post office must have cancelled it in November.

In August we said goodbye to Donna Lang, who has been with the Sheriff’s Office since 1997. In her time with the Sheriff’s Office Donna served as a Court Security Officer, Vehicle Inspector and Clerk. We wish Donna all the best in her retirement.
